Topic: Cloverfield

Just so you know this movie has a 8.1 rating on IMDB.   so yeah .. theres that....

decent movie.  I guess something fell out of the sky in the last shot.  Or was like a spaceship crazing into the ocean.  Pretty cool.  I was looking for something in the water and must have missed it.  I'd give it 3 stars just for creativity if you ignore the bs lines, pliot, Abrams involvement, and characters.... pretty important stuff usually.....

I guess that thing at the end was pretty important... IF YOU PLAY IT IN REVERSE!!!  fucking Abrams is an idiot.  I can almost see him sitting around with his pretentious friends and saying "yeah we put that line at the end only..  PLAY IT BACKWARDS!!  YEAH!  I'm such a genius."   only thing is no one in the theater has the ability to play it backwards so it just sound like a bit of confusing mush that leaves people scratching there heads.   That basically sums up everything Abrams does.    Yeah you could spend time online searching through the Cloverfield blogs for the mystery but the movie wasn't that good for all that.

The mashup of 28 Days Later and The Road Warrior looks interesting.

The sound byte at the end of Cloverfield is mysterious if nothing else and J.J. likes all things mysterious.  I'd say it's pretty clever and adds to the general buzz about the film which won't hurt it at the box office.
