Yellow Nub98 viewsYes, it's blurry, but I don't really care. I like the color in this one mostly.

Vertical Slats of Light30 viewsThe barn is in a state of serious disrepair, but it still offers some chances for abstract photos.

Nasty Water30 viewsThis is what currently resides in the old toilet that sits in the weeds near the barn. It's nasty and intriguing at the same time. It's not quite nature-y enough for me, so I thought I'd label it abstract.

Old Can28 viewsWhat can I say? I'm as attracted to photographing old rusty cans as I am to butterflies or apple blossoms.

Diagonal Light Streaks29 viewsLate afternoon sunlight reflecting off of a pool ladder in the barn. Not sure what I think of this one yet.

More Chipping Paint27 viewsI just can't get away from the chipping paint on the garage. It fascinates me.

Oak Leaf13 viewsOkay, so this is also a nature photo. But the vein structure looks pretty abstract.

Sunset on Paint15 viewsI've found that auto-leveling a photo that's either very dark or monochromatic often causes some of the absent colors in the picture to pop. As I take many of my pictures later in the day, I tend to try the technique more and more.

Mother and Child22 viewsThese figures sit on the hutch in the dining room. I thought the quality of light coming through the window was nice.

Segmented Sunlight23 viewsIn the afternoon, sunlight shines through windows and holes in the wall illuminating small portions of the barn at a atime. Here, the light hits what I think is an old propane tank. It wasn't actually quite this vivid. I applied auto-colors here and really liked how it brought out the red of the tank.

Chipping Paint26 viewsI liked the texture of this image.

Curving Red Stripes24 viewsRays of light peek through openings in the barn's western wall, shining on the side of the overturned canoe. I pushed the saturation to make the photo a bit more vivid.

Red Wave28 viewsSome sunlight was shining on the canoe in the barn. It looked kind of neat to me, so I took a few photos of it. I raised the saturation to bring out the red as the original image was more brown. I found it more striking this way.

Barn Window from the Interior26 viewsI like pictures of windows. Don't ask me why. I couldn't tell you. I just find them striking sometimes. Here, I thought the contrast between inside and out was cool.
